The practice opened in July of 2005, with Louis as the Administrator. In addition to managing the business end, he assists during oral surgery cases. He was certified as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant from CALAOMS in 2005. He is certified in (BLS) Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Louis graduated from Boise State University with his Bachelors in Social Work. He then went on to get his Masters degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Idaho State Board of Social Work License (CSW) in 1997, and his Idaho State Board of Social Work License (LCSW) in 1999.

In 1997 Louis started working at West Valley Counseling in Caldwell, Idaho, as an individual, marriage, and family counselor. He worked there until 2005 when Canyon County Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery opened their doors.

Louis and his wife Krista, also a surgical assistant for Dr. Massoth, have been married since July 26, 1997 and live in Caldwell, Idaho  along with their two daughters Emily and Alex.

In his spare time, Louis enjoys farming 55 acres. He is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys golfing, fishing, and white water rafting. Both he and Dr. Massoth love their many trips into Hells Canyon with family and friends.
